Visit our newest and most exciting exhibition: Weapons of Mass Evolution!
In this exhibition, visitors will learn about three very different animals that are each equipped with special weapons. These weapons are just a few examples of those that have evolved over thousands to defend against predators and capture and feed on prey.


Cookie Cutter Shark



The cookie cutter sharks are found in deep waters. The cookie cutter shark is called the cookie cutter shark because when they attack their prey, they leave a bite mark that looks like their prey was cut by a cookie cutter. Cookie cutter sharks are carnivores, so they eat whales, seals, and other types of fish. Come and check out the cookie cutter shark exhibit to learn more!

Frog Fish 


Come and see the fascinating frogfish! The frogfish, featured in our new Weapons of Mass Evolution exhibit, is one of the ocean's most amazing predators! Found throughout the world, this fish has many unique adaptations, you will be amazed by beautiful fish!


Bearded Vulture


Learn about the bearded vulture, also known as the lammergeier. Bearded vultures are scavengers that fly across the mountains of southern Europe and Asia and some parts of Africa, searching for carcasses of dead animals to feed on. Their nickname comes from a patch of black bristles on their chins. In this exhibit you'll learn all about the lammergeier and how it's able to consume the bone marrow from its prey!
