These Sea Creatures in Glass models were made by Leopold and his son, Rudolf Blascka. The Harvard Museum of Natural History has just opened up and displayed 60 new models of sea creatures.

The models range from sea sponges, to jellyfish, octopus, squids, slugs, other soft bodied sea creatures and anemones.
This exhibit was an 8 year project that now holds 430 invertebrate models. Altogether, there are 3,200 specimens on display in Harvard's Ware Collection of Glass Models of Plants.

You can read up more on this exhibit in the  press release.

Sea Creatures in Glass is made possible by a generous gift in memory of Melvin R. Seiden, Harvard 1952.
